SEMINAR DATES FOR 2025
Hobart Horticultural Society will host one seminar a year, in August.
Our seminars are in person and currently held at The Black Buffalo Hotel for central convenience with ample parking and mobility access.
Our seminars are designed to help educate on all thing’s horticulture from garden basics to topical talks tailored for all levels, from beginners to passionate gardeners seeking more advanced skills.
If you have a suggestion for topics of interest in future or are interested in being a guest speaker, contact the Society via email to express your interest.
Our experienced speakers range from local, interstate and international calibre who guide you every step of the way to achieve all you can when it comes to horticulture.
We allow for questions following our speaker sessions or bring along a pad to take down notes and vital tips.
We cater for morning tea in your cost to attend our seminars and may offer a light lunch at times. Our venue offers a delicious 2 course lunch to attendees, should they wish, at their own separate expense.
SALES! Most of our guest speakers bring along some of their products/plants for you to purchase on the day. We have eftpos facilities available and accept cash.
Our seminars can be difficult to adhere to a schedule as allocated times can often go over depending on interests/questions etc. We allow a full day from approximately 10.30am-3.00pm for our seminars.
